Having come to the end of the year, it is time to take stock and see what we have accomplished this year and also examine what we need to carry on to the coming year and what we need to leave behind. As it pertains to our wealth creation goals some of the key questions we need to start asking ourselves would include:
1. What resources do I have in hand or do I have ready access to and how can I use them to get to my wealth creation goals?
2. What new lessons have I taken in the past one year and in them, what can I reinforce and what do I need to change to achieve my goals?
3. What investment knowledge do I have and what knowledge do I need so that I can move to the next level in my journey?
4. Which people do I need to surround myself with so that they can not only create a proper network but those with whom I will grow well together?
In wealth creation journey the starting point is always defining the person you want to be and working towards that. The person you want to be is also defined by the things that matter most to you as an individual.
I was having a conversation with a friend this weekend and for him he is so clear that he cannot invest in rural home and yet for some of us that is an important thing. The thing is what makes sense to one person might not make sense to someone else and it is ok. The goal is to ensure that you are getting closer to your wealth creation goals.
In the wealth space, there basically two groups of people: The Savers & Investors and Spenders. Being pulled too much to one side makes you live an unbalanced life and so one should strike a balance between the two. The only way to strike this balance is by determining what really matters to you as an individual.
The first step is always setting your goals and aligning the resources towards achieving the goal.
